Sierra Leone War Crimes

Former Liberian President Charles Taylor is appealing his 50-year prison sentence for war crimes that had taken place in Sierra Leone from 1991-2001.  He was associated with Sierra Leone's Revolutionary United Front rebels. These rebels are known for their aggression and take part in acts including rape, murder, and slavery. The warlord allegedly claimed 120,000 lives and was apart of "some of the most heinous crimes in human history".
